Braving through the battle

In 2016, when Brave was born, our greatest fear was that she would not make it. Scrawny and weak, it was unlikely that she would survive. One of her siblings was stillborn and another in a condition just as bad as her. There was only one healthy pup, Snow, the only one Whiskers, their mother, was tending to. This is perhaps, natures way to let the fittest survive. It was up to us to ensure the other pups survived. We rushed them to our veterinarian, where he checked them out and prescribed substitute feed for the pups. On our way back though, we lost the other pup. However, Brave fought on.

She had the grit and desire to survive. At first, it was long and laborious path towards nursing her back into health. But her determination made her grow stronger with each passing day. Eventually, Whiskers began to care for her as well. Her fight for her survival is what inspired us to name her Brave. She did indeed, brave through her struggles and emerge victorious. She still thrives at the PPT farm, lively and energetic as ever.
